Not Anymore!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Some amazing results from the world of animal science: <a title=\"Scientists Restore Hearing in Deaf Mice By Triggering Genes to Produce NT3 Protein\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ibtimes.co.uk\/scientists-restore-hearing-deaf-mice-by-triggering-genes-produce-nt3-protein-1471143\" target=\"_blank\">scientists have successfully restored hearing in deaf mice<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>By inserting and activating certain genes:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center; font-size: 11.5px;\"><em>The mice that produced extra NT3 regained their hearing over a period of two weeks and were able to hear a lot better than mice that did not have extra production of the protein.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Next stop: humans suffering hearing loss from noise exposure or aging.
