Wouldn&#8217;t want pesky things like facts, expertise, and\u00a0personal experience shaping our policies, now would we?<\/p>\n<p>Just kidding. At NAIA, we want wildlife management policies shaped by experts rather than anti-hunting activists. We&#8217;re totally cool with that. It&#8217;s the anti-hunting activists who\u00a0want this debate settled entirely through emotion and advertising dollars\u00a0(remember when their coalition\u00a0<a title=\"If you can\u2019t debate the experts, silence \u2018em!\" href=\"http:\/\/naiaonline.org\/blog\/animal-policy\/if-you-cant-debate-the-experts-silence-em\/\" target=\"_blank\">threw a hissy fit last November<\/a>,\u00a0and tried\u00a0to prevent the\u00a0Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife from stating their opinion on the [failed] anti-hunting referendum?).<\/p>\n<p>It is great to see sanity alive and well in Maine.
